Emergency? Call first, then do this.
We answer 24/7 and are on-site in about 2 hours across the St. Louis metro.
Water or burst pipe
- Shut off the main water valve. It is usually where the line enters the house, often in the basement near the front wall.
- Turn off power to wet areas at the breaker if you can reach the panel without standing in water.
- Move electronics, rugs and valuables off wet floors.
- Take photos and video before anything is moved.
Roof open or leaking
- Put buckets under drips and poke a small hole in a bulging ceiling stain so water drains in one spot.
- Move furniture and belongings out of the room.
- Do not go on the roof in wind, rain or the dark.
- Photograph the ceiling and anything visible outside.
Sewage backup
- Stop using every sink, toilet and appliance that drains.
- Keep children and pets away from the area.
- Do not try to clean it up without protective gear.
- Turn off HVAC if it pulls air from that space.
After a fire
- Do not re-enter until the fire department says it is safe.
- Do not wipe soot or turn on the HVAC.
- Call your insurer and us. We board up and tarp so weather and intruders stay out.
